A3: In an ideal world, Yes - but most customers fit the system on to a fax line or similar.
Q4: When would you choose a system working on sim cards rather than a telephone line
A4: There are benefits for both systems, listed below are a sample
Benefits of using a telephone line
- No worry a mobile phone signals in remote locations
- No, sim card contracts
- Cheaper than sim cards in general
Benefits of using a mobile phone technology
- No need for a telephone line
- The system can be fitted in any location to suit the operation, without having to get access to the telephone line

Q5: How does a member of staff activate the system for assistance?
A5: By simply pressing a button on their mobile* wireless *pendant supplied to them.
Q6: What range do the wireless pendants work at?
A6: Depending on the location, type of aerial etc., it can be up to *700* metres line-of-sight - this would be tested on installation.
Q7: When the system is activated what happens, and in what order?
A7: When a signal is sent from the panic button, the system automatically dials through to a central monitoring station: the monitoring station will carry our various procedures including:
- Listening and/or talking to the office through the two-way communicator.
- Telephone a list of command numbers supplied by the customer upon installation.
- Patch the call through to the police if there is an obvious problem.
Q8: Do the police get notified?
A6: Yes, if there is obvious evidence of a serious incident,* the monitoring station will follow the ACPO regulations and call the police*.
Q9: Does the system require servicing?
A9: Yes, we strongly recommend a service agreement: what could be worse than having the system and for it not to work when needed.
Q10: What other security products do you recommend together with this system?
A10: The list is endless depending on the situation, but a good quality decoy (dummy) camera works very well with this system (especially when the speaker announces their presence).
