We strongly recommend that all systems we supply are serviced either by us or by a competent person at least once per year in domestic situations and twice per year for staff protection systems. We have lost count of how many systems we visit only to find the alarm is not working at all, although the customer still thinks they have been setting it every time.
Insurance companies would love finding an alarm with no detection working following a burglary.
We supply a comprehensive service agreement, which covers the following:
- A service visit where we check the following:
- Correct operation of keypad
- Correct operation of remote controls
- Correct operation of all PIR sensors
- Correct operation of door & window sensors
- Inspection and replacement (if required) of all batteries within the sensors, these are checked using a volt meter
- Inspection of the systems back up batteries.
- Inspection of the siren and its battery
- 12 months labour warranty, in the event of a system failure all travel and labour costs are covered (material are charged are standard rate)
- Advice for possible additional sensors to cover new rooms
- The fitting of additional sensors if requested
- Resetting codes and zones if requested
- Telephone advice
